Our services
Sunday Worship Services
Join us Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
At our Apopka Society, just as in all Christian Science churches around the globe, we sing hymns, hear uplifting music, pray, and listen to a weekly Bible Lesson Sermon presented by Readers.
The lesson is comprised of citations from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy which together serve as our pastor. Christian Scientists study this lesson throughout the week prior to Sunday to deepen their understanding of God and His relation to man, and to apply the teachings to their daily lives to attain freedom and growth.
The lessons are intended to be instructive, addressing issues that people confront every day — at both a personal and community level. These problems can be addressed and healed by the laws of God illustrated in the Bible and insights gained from passages found in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Sunday school-aged children are welcome to join a class in our Sunday School, or to attend the service. We provide childcare for babies and young children. Adults are also welcome to stay in the children’s room with their younger children while they listen to the service through the sound system.
You don’t have to be a member of this society to attend or practice Christian Science and be benefitted by it—though membership does support spiritual growth and connectedness! If you’re interested in exploring membership, please ask the Clerk or any church member for more information.
Wednesday Evening Testimony Meetings
Wednesday meetings 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
At our mid-week Wednesday testimony meetings, topical readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy are shared. During the last half of the meeting, attendees are invited to share remarks, experiences and testimonies of healing based upon their study and practice of Christian Science.
